Always something to be said.

So I'v been told that I always have something to say (which sometimes can be good, and other times not so much!) So why not start a blog?? So here we go.
My name is Laura Bartram. I am 27 years old and am attending Culinary school along with working at Prestera @ Pinecrest as apart of the culinary team. I have been married to my husband Skyler for 4 years and we've been a couple for 7 years. I won't say it has always been a bed of roses, but life isn't always easy at first is it?? We don't have kids yet, but when God wants to bless us we will be waiting! But the most important thing about me is that I am first and foremost a CHRISTIAN! And I love being a Christian, knowing God is going to take care of me and is always there for me? How can anyone turn down that assurance for the future?
I have the greatest friends in the world sent straight from God. One in particular is Kim McClung. She is more of a blessing to me than she probably even knows. Her three little boys are so cute and well behaved. And I just love them to pieces. But most of all, she is the Godly mother I hope to be one day. To me she is a Proverbs 31 woman. I always look up to her. I have a family that well like most families are a bit on the crazy side, but they love me and I am grateful for them. And then there is my extended family the Botkins. I absolutely love Sherry. She is also such a big blessing to me.
I am into making homemade laundry detergent and wearing skirts. Okay I know that is weird, but it's a fact about myself. I love going to church. I have started attending Shepard's Fold Baptist church where my grandfather is going and I love it. And let me tell you what a blessing it is to have a grandfather in church with me! My nana prayed for 17 years or so for him, and the night she passed away he received Christ as his Savior!
My nana was my grandmother and my best friend. She had such a faith in Jesus that nothing could waiver her. Losing her in 2005 was the biggest loss I'd ever had to face in my entire life.
My favorite movies are Fireproof, Flywheel, Facing the Giants, Soul Surfer. I enjoy helping at church camp every year, and also pray to go on a mission trip one day in the future.
I don't to be rich and famous, just blessed.
In 2008 my grandfather committed suicide and then we lost my grandmother 5-6 weeks later. This was another terrible loss for me and my family but we've come a long way from that year.
I have been in a verbally/emotionally abusive relationship that a lot of people do not know about. It lasted for a year and a half -two years. I never understood why women stayed in a situation that they knew what bad, or at least I didn't until I was in that predicament. But I believe it has made me a stronger person. Even if hitting is not involved words can cause just as much damage if not more. And it can lead up to physical abuse.
God has lead me through every trial and tribulation life has to throw my way. I feel very blessed for everything I have and things I've yet to obtain through Him.
Well in closing this blog I want to thank whoever has decided to read this. I wish you blessings in Jesus Christ and I pray that you have excepted Him as your Savior.
